Hunter and Aleigh Moore Spotlight

Hunter and Aleigh Moore

Hunter and I met one summer evening back in 2008.
It was a pool party and I happened to walk in right as he was diving into the pool.
I was love struck immediately, but it took him just a bit longer.
I was 14, and he was 15 at the time. I was going to be a freshman and he was going to be a sophomore in high school.
I remember my first day of high school so clearly, I was looking for him throughout the entire day.
Somehow, our classes were always really close to each other. We spent tons of time walking to classes together and getting to know each other better.
I was a cheerleader and he played both football and basketball so I was at every one of his games cheering him on.
The next summer we spent every single day together, and had our very first kiss.
That same summer, Hunter told me he could see himself marrying me one day. My heart was beating right out of my chest as I told him I had the same thoughts.
We loved every moment of spending high school together.

We went to two proms and one homecoming together, I got to cheer for Hunter as he led our football team through playoffs and to the CIF championship, I was able to watch Hunter walk at graduation, and he gave me my first Book of Mormon.
After graduation Hunter spent one semester at BYU and then left for his mission in Columbus, Ohio January of 2012.
We wrote each other throughout his mission and missed each other quite a bit, but we were so grateful for that time apart to learn and grow so that we could prepare to spend forever with each other.
While Hunter was on his mission I got baptized after waiting four years for that day to come.

Hunter returned home in January of 2014 and only had a few days to spend at home in San Diego before he was back up at BYU to get ready for classes and football.

We picked up right where we left off and were engaged a week after he got home.
We were then sealed in the San Diego Temple March 1, 2014 on one of the only rainy days San Diego will see all year.
We have never been happier than we are now. Getting married was a long awaited dream come true.
We are getting ready to embark on a new exciting journey together as we become parents in February 2015. We cannot wait to meet our sweet little baby.
We are loving the BYU football program so far and we are so excited for our first season together :)

Beautiful night and great times sandwiched in between a couple of Utah thunder storms.  These players are so great with BYU fans and are amazing to watch on and off the field.
