Devin and Lindsay Mahina

Tight End Sophomore
6'6" 250lbs
Upland HS/ Ontario, CA

Devin began playing football when he was 8 years old. He wasn't always as into it as he is now. He told his dad he was sick one day to try and get out of practice, but his dad made him go anyway. Ever since then he has loved it. For a little while, Devin played quarterback. But in high school he found the spot he loved as Tight End, he also played Defensive End, but loved his position as Tight End much more. Devin also played basketball for 3 years in high school.

Devin is a very athletic kid, and has so much heart. Even if he isn't good at something right away, he practices until he gets it perfect. He was pulled up to the Varsity Football team his Freshman year. On game days he tends to keep to himself, he likes to prepare himself mentally for the game.

Devin got his Eagle Scout when he 14 years old. He served a mission in Antananarivo, Madagascar from February 2008 - December 2009. He came home 2 months early to begin conditioning for football. Something he doesn't tell many people is that on his mission he baptized 101 people. He plans to study Sports Marketing.

Devin married his high school sweetheart, Lindsay, on July 30, 2010. They began dating in 2005 when they were 16 and she waited for him while he was serving his mission. They now live in Provo, Utah, but hope to be able to move back to California one day.
